A multidisciplinary, simulation-based skill training workshop designed for midwives, obstetricians and maternity healthcare professionals to build confidence, strengthen clinical skills and improve coordinated responses during obstetric and neonatal emergencies.

WHAT DOES THE WORKSHOP INCLUDE?

Hands-on Obstetric & Newborn Emergency Simulation. Management of:

• Vaginal Breech Birth
• Shoulder Dystocia
• Pre-eclampsia & Eclampsia
• Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
• Newborn Resuscitation (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

• Recognise and respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies
• Demonstrate essential hands-on emergency skills
• Apply evidence-informed clinical decision-making
• Communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrate effective leadership and role allocation
• Practise structured escalation during emergencies
• Reflect on team performance through simulation debriefing
• Identify opportunities to improve clinical practice and patient safety
